How do I track my order?
23andMe orders typically ship within 1-2 business days from the time of purchase. When your order ships, you will receive an email with your tracking number. Depending on the carrier, it can take 24-48 hours for your tracking information to update on the carrier’s site.
You can view the estimated delivery time frame for your order in their Shipping Options article. If your order does not arrive within the estimated time frame, please allow an additional 2 business days before contacting Customer Support. Additionally, check with anyone who may have accepted your delivery, like other household members, neighbors, or someone who accepts mail for your building.
How much does the DNA Test service cost?
Specific shipping and kit costs vary depending on the type of service and number of kits included in order as well as the shipping method. They currently charge sales tax for all orders shipped to Hawaii, West Virginia, and South Dakota.
For a price estimate for your online 23andMe order:
*Add the desired number of kits to your cart and click “checkout”.
*In the shipping sections of the subsequent page, enter the shipping and contact information, select the preferred shipping method and click “continue to billing”.
*A total will be displayed at the bottom of the page in the Order Review box:
*If you’d like to complete your order, enter your payment details in the Billing section of the store. Be sure to select “Enter a new address” if necessary.
In addition to 23andMe’s online store, the 23andMe Personal Genetic Service can be purchased through a few authorized retailers.
Can I change the order?
After an order is placed, it is not possible to update order details such as the number of kits or the shipping information; if your order has not yet been fulfilled, you can cancel your order using one of the methods mentioned below and then place a new order. They are unable to combine shipments from multiple orders.
If you need to have your order shipped to an alternate address, please contact them from the email address used to place the order and they can assist you with shipping a replacement order.
Can I cancel the order?
You can cancel your order* within 60 minutes of placing the order via the order confirmation page or order confirmation email. After canceling your order, you will receive a confirmation via email that your order was canceled.
Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax is currently charged for:
*23andMe online orders, or orders purchased through the 23andMe-sponsored Amazon page, shipped to Hawaii, West Virginia, or South Dakota
*Upgrades from the 23andMe Ancestry + Traits Service to the 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service purchased using a card with a billing address in Hawaii, West Virginia, or South Dakota
*Lab fees paid using a card with a billing address in Hawaii, West Virginia, or South Dakota (only applicable to orders purchased through CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens, or Walmart)
How can I request a replacement kit?
Contact the Customer Care Team. Be sure to provide the barcode on your current kit and your current shipping address. You may be asked to provide information about the original order before a replacement kit can be shipped.
