How do I make changes to my booking?
To make changes to your booking including extending your hire period, you will need to contact them by phone on 0800 399 736 or email ([email protected]
). Please note that any changes are subject to availability and approval by Jucy. Rates may also be re-calculated at the time of the amendment.
What excess reduction cover options are available?
Jucy’s Excess Reduction covers you for damage to your Jucy vehicle and third party vehicles or property. Like any cover, however, there are exclusions.
If you choose to not have any excess reduction, the full amount of the excess will be held as a bond for the duration of your hire. Any bond held will be refunded to your card 7 - 14 working days from when your vehicle is picked up.
You can select your Excess Reduction Cover when booking online, at the branch when you collect your Jucy vehicle or by contacting them via phone (0800 399 736) or email ([email protected]).
Will I be charged for the kilometres I drive?
You will only be charged for the kilometres you drive if you hire a Coaster or Compass campervan. As these are diesel vehicles, you will need to pay a road user charge of $0.072 per kilometre.
Where can I go in my vehicle?
When exploring, please keep to the roads. Driving in off-road conditions, including fire trails, beaches, sand, tracks, fields or paddocks, is not permitted. If the damage is incurred or towing required while driving in these out of bounds areas the customer will be liable for all costs. The only exception to this is a reasonable use of access roads to recognised commercial campgrounds.
Am I allowed pets in my vehicle?
Yes, in some of their campers, they are currently trialling dog-friendly camper options.
Jucy love animals, however, you can’t bring your pets with you on all of your Jucy road trips, so please make sure you book via the above-mentioned page link to secure a vehicle that is suitable for your fur-baby.
Service animals, such as guide dogs, are allowed in all of their vehicles. Please let them know if you will be accompanied by a service animal when making your booking.
